Five Croatian films at Sofia International Film Festival

Five Croatian majority and minority co-productions will be screened at the 20th Sofia International Film Festival which will be held from March 10th to 20th in Bulgaria’s capital.

Competing in the Balkans Competition programme are Life is a Trumpet by Antonio Nuić, The High Sun by Dalibor Matanić, as well as the Croatian minority co-production Lazar, directed by Svetozar Ristovski. Screening in the special programme ‘Spotlight on Croatia’, along with Nuić’s and Matanić’s films, will be Ivona Juka’s debut feature film You Carry Me, while the Croatian minority co-production Sparrows by Rúnar Rúnarsson, an Icelandic-Danish-Croatian co-production, will be screened in the ‘Spotlight on Iceland’ programme.

Two projects will be introduced at the 13th industrial segment of the festival, Sofia Meetings. Both are feature films by two Croatian directors – Closed to the Public by Vanja Sviličić and produced by Maxima Film, as well as I Miss You by Vlatka Vorkapić and produced by Antitalent Productions.
