Three brothers live in a small village with no women, situated high in the mountains of southern Serbia, close to the border with Kosovo. Their greatest desire is to find brides. They have already tried, unsuccessfully, in nearby Serbian villages, but no local woman is willing to live on the top of a mountain. Across the border in Kosovo, there are villages with women and no men. The three brothers have no interest in the politics of the region: their concerns are purely personal and they have no objection to marrying Albanian women. However, if they bring Albanian brides to a Serbian village, the question will arise – would a marriage between enemies stand a chance?
