Zagreb Stories Vol. 3 Filming Finished
On Monday, 22 December, the filming of Na Tri kralja by Vlatka Vorkapić was completed. This is the final in the series of short films for the omnibus Zagreb Stories Vol. 3. Vlatka Vorkapić wrote and directed the film, starring Ksenija Marinković and Judita Franković. The director of photography is Dragan Marković Markoni and set designer is Veronika Radman.
The third omnibus, consisting of six short films, was produced by Propeler Film and in association with Alka Film and Zagreb Film Festival. It is dedicated to holidays. In addition to the already mentioned film by Vlatka Vorkapić, the films made earlier in 2014 that are part of the omnibus are: Praznik demokracije by Petar Orešković, Praznik rada u Susedgradu by Ivan Salaj, Orah by Danilo Šerbedžija, Goranova ulica by Matija Vukšić, and Tako nekako by Radislav Jovanov Gonzo. These films’ scripts were last year selected among the 70 screenwriting projects which applied for the public call.
The previous two Zagreb Stories omnibuses premiered at Pula Film Festival in 2009 and 2012, while individual films from both omnibuses won many international awards.
Two films from the first omnibus even participated at the most prestigious international festivals: Ciao Mamma by Goran Odvorčić was selected for the official short film competition at the Cannes International Film Festival, and Zvonimir Jurić’s Yellow Moon was screened in the Berlin International Film Festival competition.
Zagreb Stories Vol. 3 will premiere in July, at the 61st Pula Film Festival.
