The animated short film Travelling Country, by Vesela Dančeva and Ivan Bogdanov, (co-producer Compote Collective – Bulgaria) won the Golden Prize in the Shut Up! Competition (the film was also screened in the main competition), while Špela Čadež’s Nighthawk (co-producer RTV Slovenia, Finta Film – Slovenia) was awarded a Very Special Mention in the main programme.

This is Travelling Country’s seventh award since April, 2016, and Nighthawk’s third award since September, including the special mention received at the recently held DOK Leipzig Festival.

The Baltics’ oldest and largest animated film festival, Animated Dreams, was held from November 16th to 20th. The 18th edition screened a total of 206 films, in various categories, from more than 30 countries around the world,
