The series was developed within the framework of the Croatian Audiovisual Centre’s application for television project development. The show was broadcast on Croatian Radio Television, and in Belgium at the end of last year as well. Production was funded by Croatian Radio Television (HRT), while production was carried out by the independent firm Ring Productions. The directors are Goran Rukavina, Kristijan Milić and Goran Dukić, and, to date, more than 250 top Croatian actors have appeared on the show led by lead characters played by Judita Franković and Dragan Despot.

I hope that this is the first of many successful transactions for Croatian productions on the global market,’ said Walter Iuzzolino, television producer and co-creator of Walter Presents.

Signing the deal, 2017 will see Rest in Peace as the first Croatian television series to be broadcast to British television viewers.

Rest in Peace is a Croatian drama series which first aired in January, 2013. The series creators are Dario Vince and Koraljka Meštrović. First season directors were Kristijan Milić and Goran Rukavina, and head writer was Saša Podgorelec, with episode writers Ivor Martinić, Ivan Turković Krnjak and Marko Hrenović. The second season premiered at the end of March, 2015. The director is Goran Dukić, while the head writer is Saša Podgorelec. Actors who have appeared in lead roles in the second season include Anja Šovagović Despot, Goran Navojec, Nina Violić and Daria Lorenci.
