In the short animated competition, the audience in Guanajuato will also be presented with Niko Radas’ Psychonauts. The short was made as part of art therapy of the University Psychiatric Hospital Vrapče in Zagreb. The creation process involved the patients of the hospital, who came up with the concept, created the production design, and lent voices to the characters. The film visualises the experience of mental illnesses, portraying them as characters leaving the human body and mind. Psychonauts was produced by Filip Gašparović Melis from the Croatian Association of Digital Artists. The film had its world premiere at the prestigious Annecy Film Festival.
The drama feature Wind, Talk to Me of director and screenwriter Stefan Đorđević also had its world premiere in the main competition at Rotterdam, while in Guanajuato it will appear in the International Feature competition. The film was made in co-production with Croatian company Restart (co-producer Vanja Jambrović).
