Croatian films at Fantoche International Animation Film Festival
The Fantoche International Animation Film Festival is taking place in Baden, Switzerland, from September 5th to 10th and will screen five Croatian films.
Three minority co-productions will screen in the international competition: the Swiss-Croatian film Airport by Michaele Müller (Croatian co-producer: Kinorama), the Estonian-Canadian-Croatian film Manivald by Chintis Lundgren (Croatian co-producer: Jadranska Animacija), and the Slovenian-Croatian film Nighthawk by Špela Čadež (Croatian co-producer: Bonobostudio).
Airport will also screen in the Swiss Film competition, while screening in the Children’s Film competition are Fruit by Ivan Mirko Senjanović, and the minority Canadian-Croatian co-production Hedgehog’s Home by Eva Cvijanović (Croatian co-producer: Bonobostudio).
All of the above-mentioned films are supported by the Croatian Audiovisual Centre.
This is the 15th edition of the Fantoche International Animation Film Festival which promotes the art of animation and all forms of independent filmmaking. More than 300 short films will screen at Switzerland’s biggest event of this kind and will feature a number of premieres and accompanying events. This year, the festival received a record number of 2094 applications from 102 countries.
