Two Croatian animated films (Fachuk, Psychonauts) and one minority co-production (The Magician) will have their world premiere screenings in different competition programmes at the 48th Annecy International Animation Film Festival, which takes place 8 to 14 June.
The feature film Hallway to Nowhere of director and screenwriter Zvonimir Munivrana (Studio Corvus, Peglanje snova) to have its world premiere in the international competition at the 29th Sofia International Film Festival. In addition, a number of Croatian minority co-productions to screen in various competition sections. Danis Tanović to present his latest feature My Late Summer (Propeler Film) in person, while director Rajko Grlić is set to receive an honorary award for exceptional contribution to cinema and present his latest film It All Ends Here (Interfilm) in Sofia.
Croatian Audiovisual Centre is launching a new educational program called Cinema, Game, Film, aimed at children and young people, which includes educational screenings with Croatian video games at independent cinemas across Croatia. The program officially kicks off on 10 March in Novska, Croatia, with the presentation of the video game Moopies of local creative team Mateja and Stefan Vedrina, while these exciting new cinema events will soon follow in Rijeka, Karlovac and Split as well.
