Jure Pavlović (1985) made amateur films in high school, before studying film and TV directing at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. He worked as assistant director on the feature film I Have to Sleep, My Angel (2007) by Dejan Aćimović. After graduating, Pavlović made his first professional short film Half an Hour for Granny (2009). In 2010, he took part in the Jewish Film Festival’s Talent Workshop, mentored by Branko Lustig. Glass, the short film he made there, was the overall workshop winner. His short film Umbrella (2012), produced by the Sekvenca company which Pavlović himself founded, was screened and awarded at festivals in Croatia and abroad.
