"Don’t Take It Personally" is a film concert exploring historical denial, violence, exile, and resistance. It critiques societal behavior shaped by capitalism and imperial greed. It references Dutch Golden Age paintings that glorify capitalism and violence. The performer’s voice draws from the writings of Dubravka Ugrešić, who defied nationalist narratives. It warns: from microaggressions to genocide, from massacres to capitalist systems of control.
