The celebration of the longest period of daylight – the summer solstice – is the main theme of the video work Affair. It focuses on the joy of living and the connection between the visual and the sonic inspired by Hy Hirsh's work. Feasting, dancing and enjoying the abundance of nature at the high point of the year cycle are all parts of the ritual. Its participants vow to maintain responsible relationships with other members of the community, their ancestors, nature and the gods.
