Oliver Sertić was selected as a result of his production opus. Furthermore, Damian Nenadić’s film Days of Madness, which Sertić produced, will have a market screening at this year’s Cannes Festival. The observational film shows the hidden world of mentally diverse people, easily discarded by a society that brands them patients. The film is co-produced by Restart (Croatia) and Petra Pan Film (Slovenia), with financial support from the Croatian Audiovisual Centre. The film received Special Mention in the Regional competition at this year’s ZagrebDox Festival. 

Producers on the Move, taking place during the 71st Cannes International Film Festival from May 10th to 14th, is designed as a networking platform with the aim of stimulating European co-productions. Lectures, workshops, pitches and ‘one-on-one’ meetings with film experts will be organised for participants, with the possibility to receive promotional opportunities in international industry publications.

European Film Promotion is an organisation which gathers film centres and promotional and publicity agencies from 37 European countries, creating a network for initiative and project collaboration contributing to a better position for European film and film talents in the world. The Croatian Audiovisual Centre has been a full-fledged member of the organisation since January, 2009. Creative Europe – MEDIA programme is working with the EFP to organise the Producers on the Move platform.

Oliver Sertić is a documentary film producer with a background in journalism and event organisation. He is also director of the Liburnia Film Festival. To date, he has produced approximately 30 feature and short length documentaries including: My Life without Air by Bojana Burnać, Days of Madness by Damian Nenadić, and Blockade by Igor Bezinović. Oliver is a founder of the organisation RESTART, within which he launched Restart Laboratory, Dokukino and Restart Label.
