The accomplished artist and intellectual, known as the master of experimental film, published twelve books in his lifetime and shot approximately fifty short films and one full-length film (Kuća na pijesku, House on the Sand). His creative energy and perceptive thoughts inspired and encouraged generations of creative individuals, who gathered at Kinoklub Split, to work in film.
