Eurimages supports three Croatian co-productions.
At the 148th meeting held in Skopje from October 16th to 20th, the Board of Management of the Council of Europe’s Eurimages Fund have agreed to support a total of 22 feature European film co-productions. Among them are three Croatian co-productions: What a Country? by Vinko Brešan, a majority Croatian co-production with Serbia and Poland has been granted 240 000 EUR in funds, and two minority co-productions: God exists, her name is Petrunija by Teona Strugar Mitevska, a Macedonian-Belgian-Croatian co-production granted 224 000 EUR in funding, as well as Father, by Srdan Golubović, a Serbian-French-German-Croatian-Slovenian co-production with a grant of 240 000 EUR.
The feature film What a Country? by Vinko Brešan is based on the screenplay by Mate Matišić and is produced by Interfilm.
The Croatian co-producer of God exists, her name is Petrunija, by Macedonian director Teona Strugar Mitevska, is Spiritus Movens, and the film is a Macedonian-Belgian-Croatian co-production.
Father, by Serbian director Srdan Golubović, is a film inspired by true events, and along with directing, Golubović co-wrote the script with Ognjen Sviličić. The film’s producer is Jelena Mitrović, and co-producers are Aleksandar Ris (Neue Mediopolis Filmproduktion, Germany), Čedomir Kolar (ASAP Films, France), Boris T. Matić (Propeler Film, Croatia) and ZDF Arte Television. The cinematographer is Aleksandar Ilić, the art director is Goran Joksimović, and the costume designer is Ljiljana Petrović.
