Croatian Film Screenings for Foreigners in Split and Zagreb

Foreign tourists coming this summer to Split and Zagreb can enjoy film programmes featuring Croatian films subtitled into English.

By the end of July, the Split Golden Gate Cinematheque screens successful Croatian box office hits and intimate dramas. The programme includes six films: You Carry Me by Ivona Juka, Sonja and the Bull by Vlatka Vorkapić, Donkey by Antonio Nuić and Marshal Tito's Spirit, Will Not Stop There and The Priest’s Children by Vinko Brešan.

The tourists visiting Zagreb can see as many as 60 film titles free of charge at Gradec Summer Open Air Cinema. All non-English speaking films will have English subtitles. The programme includes several Croatian films as well: the documentary Dear Lastan! and the feature fiction film 7seX7 by Irena Škorić, The Bridge at the End of the World by Branko Ištvančić, The Secret of an Old Attic (1984) by Vladimir Tadej, animated film The Magician's Hat (19990) by Milan Blažeković and One Song a Day Takes Mischief Away by Krešo Golik.
