Before You Wake is one of 23 projects to be presented at the CARTOON360 Market which will be held in Barcelona from May 30th to June 2nd. A week later, the project will be presented at the MIFA Market held during the Annecy Festival, the most important animated film festival and market in Europe, running from June 13th to 18th. Before You Wake is one of six projects selected in the Transmedia category. 

The film and videogame follow the story of 12 year-old Ada in an especially interesting way, where she accidentally discovers that her world is actually Tesla’s dream that is slowly losing power. In order to help Tesla regain his strength, so that he may finish his final invention which would enable a happy and peaceful life for all, Ada goes through a series of adventures meeting real characters from Tesla’s life, travelling through real spaces where he worked and achieved greatness, gathering his patents, memories and forgotten and stolen inventions along the way.

After the film’s successful presentation at Cartoon Movie in Lyon in March, 2015, the film entered the development stage with subsidies provided by the MEDIA Sub-programme, the Croatian Audiovisual Centre and Film Centre Serbia. To date, in its conceptual phase, leading commercial European distributers have shown interest in distributing both the film and videogame, including France’s UBISOFT, one of the world’s top three videogame developers and distributors, as well as SCFilms International from England, a company dedicated to the distribution of European animated hits.
