In cooperation with the Croatian Audiovisual Centre, the World Animation Festival Animafest and Zagreb Film, the programme Guest Country: Croatia is divided into six thematic parts which encompass contemporary feature, animated and documentary film production. The program includes contemporary titles and classics, insight into the works of student-filmmakers and a selection from Animafest Zagreb. The international competition programmes will screen The Beast, a short film by Daina O. Pusić, as well as the animated films Choban by Matija Pisačić, Life with Herman H. Rott by Chintis Lundgren, and Nikola Tesla’s Secret Laboratory by Bruno Razum.

The Beast, Choban, Life with Herman H. Rott and Nikola Tesla’s Secret Laboratory in International competition

Also competing at the festival is The Beast, a short film by Daina O. Pusić which was selected as the best in the Checkers programme at the last Zagreb Film Festival, and was also a special award winner at the Slamdance Film Festival. Three animated films will also be screening in the official competition: Choban by Matija Pisačić, Life with Herman H. Rott by Chintis Lundgren and Nikola Tesla’s Secret Laboratory by Bruno Razum.

Croatian animation will also be represented in a special non-competition program which will screen Arcadian Fever by Tea Stražičić (Trashanim) and Love and Vehicles by Draško Ivezić (Golden Shower).
