The film traces the changing dynamics and the reversal of roles in a family that feels obligated to provide its eldest member with a dignified end, even when she refuses it. Wait for Me is a story about the relationship between a mother and daughter in their old age, who are permanently divided by the physical border created in the Yugoslav Wars, and about their attitude towards the inevitability of one of them dying.
