The film Philatelist shows the personal experience of a philatelist about collecting postage stamps and their meaning and values. At the beginning of the film, the philatelist, as an adult, talks about how he started, as a child, to collect postage stamps with his friend Roman. The film will consist of 42 scenes divided by the themes of postage stamps: Olympic, For Croatian worker, Europacept, gastronomic, carnets, serials, joint issues, anniversaries, celebrities, military and police stamps, animated film, Asian, African and American stamps, Antarctic and Arctic stamps, especially Great Britain stamps, crypto stamps, flora and fauna, art stamps and others. All stamps are miniature works of art, they contain small details that are difficult to see with the naked eye, therefore they deserve to reveal their existence on the big screen. The viewer could then enjoy their beauty, and receive the information they are talking about and their messages, which they send in such a beautiful way. They are witnesses of the time in which they were created and arouse nostalgia in us, bring us back to the times that were, bring back positive memories, and enrich our lives because they give us information about the beauty of the world we live in, because they deal with all the topics from life on this planet. Each scene is accompanied by a background music specific to the topic being treated. Thus, this film gives a combination of visual beauty, musical experience and a lot of nice information. Finally, as the philatelist himself says: There is no country that does not have its own postage stamp! And so self-proclaimed states, unrecognized states, even dictatorships, in the world have issued, and will issue, their postage stamps, in order to promote themselves and send messages to the world.
