Neven Dužanec was born in 1974 in Zagreb. In 2000, he majored in English and philosophy from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. He works as a translator for TV and film. He has been a member of Kinoklub Zagreb since 2001 and he attended several film workshops there. He took part in the screenwriting workshop Palunko 1.1 at the 2013 Zagreb Film Festival, where he won the Best Screenplay Award for his script Sunday Night Special.
