The film follows a week in the life of a building that was once the centre of a workers' town erected in former Yugoslavia. Going about their daily lives, the residents of the apartment building observe a colorful mural being painted on its gray facade. As people who have spent their entire lives there gradually leave due to old age or financial difficulties, some unexpected new tenants arrive at the building.
