What was it that many years ago brought together the Zagreb born and bred artist Latica Ivanišević and a “humble” textile worker Zdenko Jereneić from the small village of Grabovec near Zagreb? Why is it that even today, many years after, Latica still takes a train to visit Zdenko in his attic in Grabovec? It is their shared love for the art of tapestry!

Petar Krelja (1940) is one of the leading Croatian documentary filmmakers, a renowned film critic of the so-called Hitchcock’s followers generation which pionereed authorial film criticism in the region and a long time film editor. Ever since the 70’s he has established himself as the author of emotionally charged documentaries on social outsiders, in particular children and youth, such as The Return (1975) and The Receiving Station (1977). His feature films include By Train Toward South (1981) and Seasons (1979).
