On the first Saturday of every month, on the main squares of Croatian cities, hundreds of men kneel and pray together. In their prayers, they advocate for re-traditionalization, patriarchy, and the restriction of women's freedoms. The participants call themselves "The Knights of the Immaculate Heart of Mary." Although they pray in a public space, they treat it as if it were private. They fence off the squares with sacred markers and block the passage of citizens. Within the enclosed area, women are not permitted to enter, even if they themselves wish to pray. Multimedia artist Arijana Lekić Fridrih (41) travels to a different city on each first Saturday and, during the prayer, performs her feminist piece, "Silent Mass." The prayer participants have tried in various ways to prevent her performances. Initially, they ignored Ariana, but over time, their reactions have grown increasingly aggressive
