- Orig. Title: Auto-portret V2.1
This is the amended version of the earlier film Self-portrait (2010). Every day for 81 days, Silvestar Kolbas visited a different photo studio and had an ID card photo made. He wore the same cloths every day, and trimmed his hair and beard to appear the same. In Self-portrait v2.1, he collects these photos in sequence, using computer imaging to blend the photos seamlessly into one another. Although his outward appearance is the same in every photo, we can catch glimpses of changes in Kolbas’ inner life as the face on each day’s picture transforms into the next, again and again.
