The film follows the daily life of the director’s grandfather, with a screenplay drawn from his autobiographical writings. Beyond a documentary portrait of a man quietly approaching the end of his life and struggling with the loss of his wife, it also captures an ethnographic snapshot of a community and its fading traditions. At its core, the film raises intimate questions: Who am I in relation to my family’s legacy? What do I resist? And, in the end, what remains?
