Emma is a quiet and shy eight-year-old girl, enthralled by the world of light and shadows that she creates with the aid of a mirror, water and glass containers. She sees everything, but very few people see her. Two things will change her life – an encounter with the two small ‘fierce girls’ who are feared by everyone at school, and her mother’s broken leg! When the gruesome twosome steal her mother’s medication from her, Emma’s adventure starts: an adventure in which she encounters witches and bats, and finds herself in an old abandoned factory as dark as a castle.
