Hrvatska Dubica is a village situated on the river Una, by the Croatian-Bosnian border. Having never recovered from the devastation of the Croatian War of Independence, the village is now dying out. Conversations with intriguing protagonists paint a wider picture of the reasons for the decline of rural Croatia and its agriculture. It is a story about a village left by itself, about the coexistence on a river that both separates and connects two worlds.
