Humanitarian Screenings of The Brave Adventures of a Little Shoemaker for Mile Biljanović on March 9, 2014

On Sunday, March 9, a humanitarian screening of The Brave Adventures of a Little Shoemaker will take place throughout Croatia. The principal role is played by Mile Biljanović, the youngest child of recently deceased single father Darko Biljanović.

This humanitarian screening is organised by the Croatian Audiovisual Centre in order to help the children of Darko Biljanović stay together. Biljanović died of a grave illness on February 14. An engineer by profession, Darko was a well-known internet blogger and a contributing columnist of the Index portal. He is remembered as a versatile person – a poet, a concert organiser, an excellent cook and a great friend. He is survived by three children, 21-year-old Tamara, 18-year-old Nadina and 13-year-old Mile, whose fabulous appearance in The Brave Adventures of a Little Shoemaker earned him the status of a young Croatian movie star.

The three of them are now in need of support from good-willed people in order to remain together, maintain their timely mortgage payments, continue their education and accomplish not only their own dreams, but also those of their father, whose life was entirely devoted to his kids.

You can help by buying tickets for The Brave Adventures of a Little Shoemaker. The film will be screened on Sunday, March 9, in all independent cinemas as well as in CineStar and Cineplexx multiplexes throughout Croatia, i.e. on 40 screens in total.

This humanitarian screening is jointly organised by the Croatian Audiovisual Centre, the film’s producer Maydi Film & Video, Blitz Film & Video Distribution as well as participating cinemas, all of whom are giving up their entire proceeds for this cause.

In case you haven’t seen the film yet, take part in this humanitarian action and check out why The Brave Adventures of a Little Shoemaker has so far been viewed by more than 135,000 people!
