The Department of Film Production and complementary activities processes applications received through public calls. The department oversees the work of the Artistic Council and the Croatian Audiovisual Council, analyses the state of affairs in the area of film and new media arts and monitors the activities of festivals, professional associations and film institutions.

Department of Festivals and Promotion

The Department of Festivals and Promotion carries out the National Programme’s activities related to the year-round promotion of Croatian films, authors and film professionals in Croatia and abroad. These activities can be divided in three groups: film promotion and placement programmes in their most narrow sense (organizing presentations and promotions of Croatian cinema at international film markets, festivals and audiovisual events; preparing brochures, publications and other material; developing an online film catalogue); Croatian film programmes abroad and professional development programmes (co-organizing international workshops). Filming in Croatia

The department is responsible for promoting the Republic of Croatia as a filming location. The department processes Cash Rebate applications, monitors similar European and global production incentive programmes and their regulatory framework and keeps records on producers, production service providers and professionals in the audiovisual industry. Creative Europe Desk - MEDIA

The MEDIA sub-programme of Creative Europe is intended for the European audiovisual industry, providing support to European filmmakers in developing new films, finding partners and securing an audience beyond national borders.  In addition, the MEDIA sub-programme annually supports the development and distribution of a thousand audiovisual works, including features and documentaries, TV dramas and new media formats. The same sub-programme also co-finances continuous vocational training activities for young and accomplished film professionals in areas such as new technologies and various distribution platforms. The legal department provides legal support to the Centre’s bodies in the area of copyright and related rights in the audiovisual sector.

Finance Department

The finance department coordinates all accounting activities, monitors all regulations concerning the Centre’s fiscal and financial activities and ensures their implementation. In collaboration with the Head of film production and complementary activities, the finance department oversees the appropriate expenditure of allocated funds received by the Centre’s beneficiaries.
