Vanja Jambrović and Danijel Pek Chosen for EAVE 2015 Film Production Workshop

This year’s workshop received 166 applications from 45 countries; 52 producers from 32 countries were selected, including Vanja Jambrović from Restart and Danijel Pek from Antitalent Produkcija.
The programme consists of three workshops. The first takes place in Luxembourg 9-16 March, the second in Skoplje 24 June – 1 July, and the third in Strasbourg 19-26 October. The participants will be divided in four groups, mentored by active and experienced producers: Roshanak Behesht Nedjad (Flying Moon Filmproduktion, Germany), Lise Lense-Møller (Magic Hour Film, Denmark), Riina Sildos (Amrion, Estonia) and Patrick Sobelman (Agat Films & Cie / ex Nihilo, France).
Vanja Jambrović was born 1980 in Zagreb. In 2005 she graduated in comparative literature and philosophy from Zagreb’s Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and in 2011 in production from the Zagreb Academy of Dramatic Art. Since 2009 she has worked as a producer at Restart, producing the documentary titles by Nebojša Slijepčević (Gangster of Love and Real Man’s Film) and his short film The Box, as well as Goran Dević’s documentaries (Don Juan: Excuse me Miss, Happy Land). She worked on another six films as executive producer (Two Furnaces for Udarnik Josip Trojko, Flood and Everything Will Be All Right by Goran Dević, Blockade by Igor Bezinović, documentary serial Black Box by Vladislav Knežević, and Vanja Sviličić’s In the Square). At Restart she is also the coordinator of Laboratorij – a production platform for debut filmmakers – and the coordinator of the Masterclass training programme intended to film professionals. She has participated at international workshops Producer on the Move in Cannes, Emerging Producer in Jihlava, Eurodoc etc. At this year’s EAVE Vanja will participate with the feature narrative project Bedemi by Srđan Keča.
Danijel Pek was born on 7 October 1977. He studied production at the Academy of Dramatic Arts and political sciences at the Faculty of Political Sciences, and participated at numerous film workshops (EAVE Film Marketing Workshop, 2013), Sarajevo Film Festival Cinelink, Sarajevo Film Festival Talent Campus etc., and in 2007 he founded the Antitalent Produkcija production company. He has experience in working for many local and foreign broadcasters (RTL Televizija, CCN News), radio stations (Radio Free Europe – Radio Liberty, Obiteljski radio) and production companies (RING Multimedia). At EAVE 2015 he will present himself as the producer of I Miss You, directed by Vlatka Vorkapić. Another success of this young and talented producer was Vis-À-Vis by Nevio Marasović, as well as the recently finished short film Eye for an Eye by Antoneta Kusijanović and the documentary series The Great Shipwrecks of the Adriatic, which he produced.
