The Staffroom by Sonja Tarokić at FrameWork workshop of TorinoFilmLab
The debut feature film project The Staffroom, by writer and director Sonja Tarokić, has been accepted into the FrameWork workshop of the TorinoFilmLab, geared toward creative teams (writer/director, director/producer) working on their first or second feature film. The film’s producer is Ankica Jurić Tilić.
The Staffroom is one of nine selected projects which will be developed at the first session of the workshop to be held in Slovenia’s Isola, as a part of the 12th Kino Otok– Isola Cinema Festival. The second session will be held from November 20th to 25th in Torino, during the 34th Torino Film Festival, where the authors will present their projects to more than 200 film professionals. The best project will receive an audience award, while an international jury will present a series of production awards.
The authors will develop their projects alongside a series of professionals: script doctors Franz Rodenkirchen, Marietta von Hausswolff von Baumgarten and Anita Voorham, film director Thanos Anastopoulos, cinematographer Marko Brdar, Israeli Film Fund director Katriel Schory, post-production expert Niko Remus, producer Didar Domehri, casting director Tatiana Vialle, sound engineer Peter Albrechtsen and film promoter Joanna Solecka.
Also, the 12th Kino Otok – Isola Cinema Festival, which will be held from June 1st to 5th, will screen three Croatian short films in various programmes: Picnic by Jure Pavlović, Hana, Hana, Honey by Karlo Vorih, and Rainy by Ivana Gulijašević, while On Shaky Ground, by Sonja Tarokić, will be screened at the TorinoFilmLab presentation.
Also in Isola, the second development workshop RE-ACT (Regional Audiovisual Cooperation and Training) will be held, where seven creative teams will develop their projects under the guidance of Stefan Tealdi, Danijel Hočevar and Rada Šešič along with other experts from TorinoFilmLab.
