The Reaper is one of the 20 selected projects, which include the Danish Oscar winner Susanne Bier, the renowned Portuguese director Miguel Gomes, the Golden Lion winner Alexander Sokurov and the award-winning Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos. The Reaper, a story about a man whose one mistake completely changed his life, just like war trauma changed the life in his community, was written by Zvonimir Jurić and Jelena Paljan.

The film stars Ivo Gregurević, Mirjana Karanović, Igor Kovač, Nikola Ristanovski, Zlatko Burić Kićo and Lana Barić. The producer is Ankica Jurić Tilić from the Kinorama production company, director of photography is Branko Linta, set designer Ivan Veljača, costume designer Ivana Zozoli Vargović, and editor Dubravka Turić.

The film is co-funded by the Croatian Audiovisual Centre, and in its development phase it was presented at many international production markets and workshops. The development was financed by the acclaimed MEDIA Programme, and the film is co-produced by Forum Ljubljana, a production company from Slovenia.
