Antonio Nuić’s Butcher’s Heart at Paris Project Co-production Forum

Antonio Nuić’s new feature narrative project Butcher’s Heart was selected for Paris Project co-production forum, taking place 30 June – 3 July this year during the International Film Festival Paris Cinéma.

Only a day after signing the Co-production Agreement between Croatia and France, the new feature narrative by Antonio Nuić, Butcher’s Heart, was selected for Paris Project 2013, the co-production forum and platform for the development and financing of projects in search of a European or French co-producer. Nuić’s film is one of the 17 films chosen out of 400 submitted entries, among acclaimed filmmakers and less known names. The selected projects include a biopic about poet Emily Dickinson by British director Terrence Davies, A Quiet Passion, as well as new works by Romanian director Cristi Puiu, The Manor House, and Mads Matthiesen’s Emma, whose film Teddy Bear was screened at last year’s Zagreb Film Festival.

Paris Project takes place from 30 June to 3 July during the International Film festival Paris Cinéma. This year’s edition of the co-production forum features a €20,000 post-production grant and collaboration with Guanajuato International Film Festival in Mexico. More information about the forum can be found on its official website, while details about the selected films are available here.

Butcher’s Heart is produced by Propeler Film with the support of MEDIA 2007 programme. It is an urban family comedy whose basic subject matter is the position of a non-commercial artist in the rough transitional society. The first slate is announced by the end of the year and it will be filmed on several locations in Zagreb.
