International Archaeology Film Festival - MFAF
Location: Split
Festival dates: November 10 – 12, 2022 | 7th edition
The International festival of archaeology, cultural and historical heritage, monument protection and anthropology documentary film – MFAF was launched in 2010 and is the only festival of its kind in Croatia. This biennial festival that takes place in November, aims at contributing to the valorization of cultural heritage and archaeology within European and world heritage as well as raising awareness, particularly of young people, for their own heritage. The festival promotes archaeology and national heritage, particularly UNESCO sites in Croatia, and is an ideal opportunity for promoting Croatian documentary (archaeological) film beyond national borders.
The festival program consists of films in competition, and the accompanying program presenting the latest European museums and their projects. The films compete for three awards of the International Jury as well as for the Audience Award. Entry is free and all films are subtitled.
