The Croatian Amateur Film Festival brings together students of various academies (the Zagreb Academy of Dramatic Arts, the Zagreb Academy of Fine Arts, The Arts Academy in Split, etc.), amateur filmmakers of several film clubs, and independent filmmakers from all over Croatia. The Festival is a central gathering point of Croatia’s film amateurism and, along with the Pula Film Festival, is the oldest film festival in Croatia. Every year, the festival takes place in another city. Except for recent productions, its programme also includes retrospectives, showcases of filmmakers who received awards at the festival’s previous editions and programmes devoted to international filmmakers. The festival also organises film forums.
