Hotel Opatija was built in 1888. From the time of Austro-Hungary until today, it has changed, expanded and continued its existence through several countries. Now, the hotel is closed for guests, with only one remaining employee – Ivanka. The large, once pompous spaces are now empty and neglected, while their walls seem to dread the future of the building, a quiet place of private stories, personal memories and attachments.
