When the moon is full and the tide is high, strange things begin to happen. The Tide is a surreal story about two characters trying to drink a cup of tea together, despite all the odds. In this banal attempt, the damage greatly exceeds the benefit.

Alen Zanjko (1969) studied pedagogy at the Academy of Fine Arts. He was involved in the field of contemporary dance and performance and, from the year 2000, has been professionally active in graphic design. Over the last ten years, he has worked in animated film production in a variety of roles, from animation, compositing and design to choreography. He has worked on The First Story, Homo Volans and Format by Darko Bakliža, The Rainbow by Joško Marušić, Cristobal Colon by Ljupče Đokić and Dušan Gačić, and Alea Iacta Est and Strange Invention by Dino Krpan. The Tide is his first film.
