The Test follows the 18-year-old protagonist Sonja as she takes her driving test. In addition to being a candidate at the driving school, Sonja is also a witness to the long-term violence taking place in her immediate vicinity, which lends the film’s title a double meaning. In addition to her driving skills, the film examines human morality and the tolerance for violence, not only Sonja’s but of society in general.
