When he was brought to hospital, he had already lost a lot of blood and the doctors did not ex-pect him to survive. For days he remained in a coma, but then he woke up. Seventeen years later, Darko is a European and world champion in shot put. Not only is he a first-class athlete; at the 2008 Paralympics in Beijing, he became the only sportsman in the history of sport to have broken a world record five times in a row!
