Ljudevit Juričan worked in the Konzum retail chain for 40 years. He was of the same age as his long-time employer Ivica Todorić. They both went to high school in Zagreb, and had their first children in 1976 – Ivica had his daughter Iva and Ljudevit his son Dario. Dario wanted to interview his father's employer, but after being refused, Dario decided to find the answers on his own.

Dario Juričan graduated in filmmaking from the London Film Academy (LFA). He has written, directed and produced several short films. His short film Do You Have a Story? (2010) was screened in the competition programme of the 64th Locarno International Film Festival. He works as an independent director and producer.
