Josip, a war veteran of immense kindness and a big heart, converted to faith and rescued from a war camp, spends sleepless nights driving a taxi. The city's nightlife attracts various clients to his taxi, and among them we meet Lena, a single mother who survives as a night lady; Matija, the owner of a real estate agency who tries in every way to help Lena; Jakov, the owner of a failed folk club who wants to restore family peace, and two neighborhood delinquents whose robbery of a betting shop sets off a series of events.
