The film title suggests that all you will see in the film is a prisoner of war’s subjective view through a small, window-like opening. Almost always the same scene of an attic window conveys the passage of time and the change of seasons. The unpleasant claustrophobic space could be anywhere in the world; the story could occur at any time or place in history. At one point the small opening transforms into a wide open window, letting a breath of freedom inside, but not for long. The opening closes again, leaving the screen totally black. The story repeats itself, since the game of war and the prison is, unfortunately, eternal.
