A watchmaker contemplates the phenomenon of time from the perspective of a craftsman and a philosopher as he is seeing off the year 1999, which, for him, marks the end of the mechanical era. At the same time, the film portrays the outskirts of Zagreb. All the characters are played by children born in 1999, which symbolically binds the past and the present.
