The film explores the foundations and heritage of the famed uprising of the Labin miners in 1921, considered one of the first organised anti-fascist resistance movements in the world. The mythical story and political ideology have long been obscuring the values of the Labin Republic, rediscovered now by the miners’ descendants: multiculturalism, unity, and progressive ideas.
