Maša hikes to an isolated mountain village to find Milorad, her husband's estranged half-brother. Instead she meets Živka, who claims he’ll return in a few days and invites her to stay. What should be a brief visit stretches into several days in a world far removed from Maša’s own, she helps with chores, learns local routines, and becomes immersed in Živka’s quiet, rural life. All the while, Goran, Maša’s husband, appears only as a distant voice in recordings and phone calls. Only when Milorad finally returns does the purpose of her journey become clear. Maša brings him straight to a hospital’s hematology unit for HLA typing: his stem cells are urgently needed to help save his half-brother Goran. Maša finally goes to see her husband.
