In December 2005, international media reported on the arrest of Croatian general Ante Gotovina. A fugitive charged with war crimes, he had been on the run for 1613 days. The film portrays the dramatic events of Gotovina’s tumultuous life from his tragic youth, through his days in the French Foreign Legion and in Colombia, to his return to war-torn Croatia and the subsequent trial before the Hague Tribunal.
