A five-year-old boy's disinterested behavior towards food leads to a series of conflicts with his mother. The effort a mother makes to feed him is equal to the child's effort not to eat the food. The longer the lunch lasts, the more clumsily the two balance on the border of conflict. With the first bites, a verbal competition begins as to how much of what will be eaten, but as everything is still happening at the table, both are satisfied, moreover, they joke about each other. Little by little, the boy expands his circle of movement, the bites are chewed longer and longer, the mother loses her patience more and more quickly. The duel between the boy's wit and the cook, tears and maternal love ends with the victory of the more persistent. The last bites either remain on the plate or in the boy's mouth and go to sleep with him.
